Services
At Vantage Children’s Services, our approach to care is shaped by the expertise of The Child Psychology Services (TCPS), ensuring that everything we do is grounded in understanding trauma and how it affects children. Our therapeutic services are tailored to meet the emotional and psychological needs of each child, helping them feel safe, supported, and understood.
We work closely with The Child Psychology Services (TCPS) to create a range of interventions that are designed to help children process their past and build a brighter future.
Psychological Consultations and Assessments
Every child in our care receives a full psychological assessment, which helps us shape a care plan that’s just right for them. These assessments aren’t a one-time thing—we review and update them regularly to make sure we’re always giving the best support as their needs evolve.
Therapeutic Interventions
From individual therapy sessions to group work, we focus on giving children the space and tools to explore their emotions, heal from trauma, and develop coping strategies that last. These sessions are delivered by a dedicated team who understand what the children have been through and know how to support them through it.
Staff Support
We believe it’s just as important to support our team as it is the children. That’s why we provide regular clinical supervision and training for our staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide consistent and compassionate care. This support also helps maintain a positive, nurturing environment where everyone feels valued.
Therapy in Everyday Life
Therapeutic care isn’t just about formal sessions—it’s woven into everything we do. From daily activities to how we interact with the children, every moment is an opportunity to foster growth, build confidence, and encourage healing. Whether it’s a hobby, a group outing, or even schoolwork, our therapeutic approach helps children feel more secure and in control of their lives.
Education, Training, and Employment Support
We believe every child has potential. Our Head of Education works with the team to create personalised education plans that fit each child’s needs, whether through mainstream school or a tailored approach.
We work closely with local education teams to ensure each child has a Personal Education Plan (PEP) and, if needed, an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). For children out of school, we offer in house tutoring to keep them on track.
We also help our young people gain real world experience, from part-time jobs to apprenticeships. With strong links to local businesses, we open doors to new skills and confidence as they prepare for adulthood.
We are a proud member of the Children’s Homes Association (CHA), an organisation promoting high-quality standards in children’s residential care across the UK. CHA membership reinforces Vantage’s dedication to providing safe, effective, and compassionate care for young people.
